Adora WinquistAdora Winquist
Founder & Formulator

Since 1998, Opus Gaia™ and its two popular brands, Rhiamon Energy Essentials™ and Trinity Spa Essentials™,  have supported the quest for stress reduction, personal growth and overall health and wellness with a vast selection of true aromatherapy products.

Adora has been in practice as an energy healer and aroma therapist since 1998. Her training encompasses a diverse study in many types of vibrational medicines, including Reiki, gem and flower essences, aromatherapy, and essential oils. Her essential oils studies let her to Rutgers University, where she completed the International Training Program in Essential Oils: Advanced Studies. She has travel-studied through India and Egypt. She is also a graduate of the acclaimed Barbara Brennan School of Healing, a specialized four-year college for the study of vibrational healing with a focus in hands-on healing, the human energy field, and psychodynamics. She is currently a student of the Institute of Integrated Nutrition.

Laura McCann-Ramsey
President

Laura Ramsey-McCann has been a leader in the Start up technology space since 2000. She has led product development, sales and marketing as CEO of Zweave, WYSWYG and Fashion Express, all companies she founded because of her passion for entrepreneurship. With a degree in Fashion Design from Parson’s School of Design, Laura has for over 20 years been involved in building product, brands and businesses.
At WYSWYG, Laura leverages her deep operations and business building experience to deliver digital strategy for her clients. From developing launch strategies backed by monetization and funding focuses, to developing channel and revenue strategies to provide early proof of concept and generate initial consumer feedback to building a brand and visual identity across products, social media platforms and marketing channels, Laura’s 360 degree approach to start ups supports lean, boot strapping practices to get businesses to market. Past engagements include advisory roles and interim CXXO positions including CEO, COO, CMO and CTO and SVP product management and coaching.

Laura’s coaching skills leverage her 20 years of entrepreneurial start up experience gained through the participation in exclusive business and personal development activities including: Techstars; The Birthing Of Giants Program (MIT), The Transitions Institute Program; Springboard Enterprises; Astia; Landmark Education; Entrepreneurs Organization; The Gathering of Titans, The Strategic Coach, etc.

Prior to WYSWYG, Laura was S.V.P of Product Management at New York based Stylesight inc, the leading online trend platform. Laura was responsible for the company’s product portfolio. She directed programming and help desk teams. While at Stylesight Laura increased productivity by 50% and built mobile applications, blogs, front and back end systems and tools for Stylesight’s 20,000 users. She served as interim AsiaPac Managing Director focusing on the company’s growing China clients and operations.

In 2000, Laura founded Zweave, the first SaaS PLM platform for the Apparel and Footwear industry. Zweave clients included the Gap, Inc and the Department of Defense. Zweave was awarded eight consecutive Small Business Innovation Research Grants from the Department of Defense.

In the early 90’s, Laura Founded Fashion Express Worldwide and FX Asia, Private Label Buying Offices, developing apparel products for vertical retailers. As CEO and creative director, Laura expanded her business into a global private label sourcing business with offices in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China serving the leading vertical retail brands in the United States including Express, Victoria Secret, NY & Company, Target, Lane Bryant, Cato, etc. Laura is an author and frequent speaker on the topic of entrepreneurship, PLM, product development and sourcing for the Fashion Industry. She has been featured in Inc, the Wall Street journal, Success, Fortune, Entrepreneurs, Apparel Magazine and WWD.

Laura was selected to participate in Make Mine a Million, Astia and Springboard. She served as President of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (YEO) NYC Chapter and chaired YEO’s first NY University, a program teaching management skills to entrepreneurs. Laura is a graduate of MIT’s “Birthing of Giants” and Leadership America. She has served on the Advisory Board of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization, the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, the Women’s Alliance Board of Organizational Alliances, Clubcorp Inc. and the Fordham University Incubator.

Born in Miami, raised in Paris France for thirteen years, Laura is multi-cultural and multi-lingual, adding Spanish to the mix. She holds a Bachelors degree in Fashion Design from Parson’s School of Design. Laura lives in NJ with her husband. Laura’s children are pursuing their own careers leaving her time for her hobbies that include reading, exercising and giving back to entrepreneurs.

 

 

 

Andrea Bartzen
Vice President of Marketing

Andrea has 20 years of experience in developing blockbuster brands. She has worked with Fortune 500 consumer products companies such as Proctor and Gamble, Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer and Campbell Soup Company to create some of the largest consumer and healthcare brands, and has leveraged consumer product company brand expertise for emerging and turnaround brands.
Andrea uses an analytical and creative methodology to assess brand potential and create an effective strategic plan that drives both short-term sales and long term brand potential.
She has been involved in all aspects of brand development such as market and competitive assessment, quantitative and qualitative research, brand and campaign concept development, strategic market planning, multi-channel integration planning, digital strategy, E-commerce, customer loyalty programs, customer relationship marketing, virtual communities and web development, copy, art and advertising creative direction. Competitive intelligence assessment and war games.

She has led the strategy for all communication channels—from Consumer Advertising, Public Relations, Education, Digital Advertising, Sales, Trade shows and Conferences.
Andrea’s strategic expertise has led to the turnaround success for such brands as Botox, KY, TheraFlu and OB. She has developed blockbuster brands such as Tylenol, Lipitor and Pradaxa.
Leveraging the expertise from top advertising agencies, management consulting companies and corporations, Andrea applies the same proven success methodologies to start-up companies and brands at WSYWG.

 

 

 

Patsy Balacchi
Creative Director

Patsy began her graphic design career working in corporate identity systems for technology-based companies in 1997. Simultaneously, she gained experience in web design, software interface design, and programming. In Spring 2001, Patsy founded Yantra Design Group, Inc., a graphic design company based in Miami, Florida. Over the years, she­­ has developed successful identity systems, promotional materials, publication and package designs, websites and software application interface designs for a wide range of clients in the U.S. and abroad.

Patsy has been able to incorporate art, design, and photography in a diverse, well-balanced working environment. Her projects are often concerned with the cultural role of design and the public life of its medium.

 

 

 

Kieran McCann
Creative Associate

Keiran is Opus Gaia’s Creative Associate. At Opus Gaia, Keiran develops editorial calendars and implements them on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn. She is responsible for weekly social media management, ECRM projects including developing campaign briefs; developing campaign artwork and copy; managing ECRM lists; Posting campaigns and reporting on results. She is also responsible for managing the TMBLR blog. She has held various entertainment, marketing, and communication positions. Keiran has a background in film, art, and creative marketing.
